God Wants All Of You

There are a few important things I believe every new believer needs to know that will become the foundation or a guide, as they begin their walk as one born again in Christ.

  1. God wants your heart
  2. God wants your love
  3. God wants your obedience

ALL of you (Emphasis on all). Not just a part or parts but all.
These three areas seem to be vital in order for a new Believer to understand the things God says and does. In fact, when we give our heart to Jesus we are saying I want to please God; lead me, and help me understand what pleases You Father. God knows what pleases Him like we know what pleases us. So it makes sense to allow Him to influence our decisions day by day.

Why does He want all of you?
Because the parts of you that are not under His influence is under someone else’s. He cannot fully influence your decision making when someone else is guiding you. No one else is Holy as He is. Only someone totally holy can teach you how to be holy.
You realize your free will is not taken away even after you are born again. God still wants you to make a choice to love and obey Him without being forced to do so. He does not take back the gifts that He gives to us, Roman 11:29

God Is Jealous
God has made it very clear in scripture that He is a jealous God Exodus 34:14
Not the way we understand jealousy as in someone having something and we are envious of it eg. a person’s possession, their gift or ability, or even their physical appearances or characteristics. Instead, God’s jealousy is righteous. He is defending what rightfully belongs to Him. When we give to others what is rightfully His only then does He become rightfully jealous.

That has not changed and we need to take it seriously. Those who serve other gods, or put other things as more important than Him He has called His enemies. The Amplified Bible version (AMP) expanded a bit in explaining Luke 16 verse 13 “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand devotedly by the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mammon (that is, your earthly possessions or anything else you trust in and rely on instead of God)”

In our relationships with others, we have craved for them to wants us totally but sadly that is never the case. There has been. and always will be someone or something standing in the way. Well, God, the Sovereign Creator is offering you the type of relationship you always desired. He wants you, all of you; not just a part, he is answering your prayer. Today, choose to be influenced by Him. You will never ever regret your decision.
